CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT STORYTELLING: CARICATURE—Digital Media Storytelling
INTRODUCTION
The challenge was to make a caricature (line drawing portrait that is cartoonish in style and that exaggerates your head size and key facial features) that represents myself based on my photo using the application Adobe Illustrator Draw on the Apple Ipad.
MATERIALS:
Adobe Illustrator Draw
Adobe Illustrator CC
Apple Ipad
Adobe PDF
Creative Cloud
Behance
CREATIVE PROCESS:
So the idea I came up with is to make myself into a pastry chef, since it is one of my hobbies (that only a few people knows) and one of my career path choices. I also did a research on it and got the idea of the body for my caricature that represents a pastry chef. For the background, I came up with just drawing a kitchen since it's where it all happens and the cupcake to show that I'm only focused on pastries.
CONCLUSION:
PRODUCTION METHODS/WORKFLOW and TOOLS:

First, I took a photo of my face, keeping my idea in mind (the angle, the features that I want to show and all). I started tracing it on the Adobe Illustrator Draw while using different layers for each part of the face, exploring different colours and brushes. After I successfully did that, I started researching for the body of my caricature that would represent the idea of a pastry chef.

Second, after researching on Google the look that I wanted and would fit for my caricature, I found this photo and I started tracing this on a different layer, while the other layers we're all hidden so it won't bother me since the focus right now is the outfit.

Then after the outfit, I did the hands on another layer because it's easier for me in case anything happens.

Then, I started tracing the cupcake. I included it since it would show that I'm only focused on pastries.

After everything, I made sure everything were aligned.

Lastly, I saved my caricature from the Adobe Illustrator Draw to my Creative Cloud so I could open it on the Adobe Illustrator CC. Then, I made my own background for my work. The idea was a kitchen and didn't put too much effort on the materials that would be covered by my caricature.

I made sure everything is okay with the caricature on top before saving it.

And this is the final product. Don't forget to put your signature!
